Taylor Teagarden, TEX - Teagarden got his first major league hit on Sunday, and it just so happened to be a solo HR that broke up a perfect game bid in the 7th inning. Teagarden has been one of the Rangers top prospects for a few seasons now, and though his 2008 minor league numbers left a lot to be desired, he could still have pretty good value at the catcher position if he shows the pop that scouts seem to think he possesses. Teagarden is only 1-6 as a big leaguer so far, but his defense will keep him around long enough for the Rangers to test drive their prospect – perhaps a fantasy test drive wouldn’t be such a bad idea either.
