The Brickyard 400 is easily the hardest race to predict, so why not go the safe route here and pick the hottest driver in NASCAR. Kyle has an Average Finish of 7 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which is better than teammate Tony Stewart, who has won this race twice.

NASCAR BIW: NASCAR's New Testing Policy

In yet another move to help level the playing field, NASCAR is ready to set a new testing policy in 2009. Currently, there are four official NASCAR tests per season. One is for the season opener at Daytona, then there is usually one for an intermediate track (this year that was California), another set at Phoenix, with the final one being at Lowe’s because of the new car.

Teams have now been testing at tracks that do not hold a Cup date, which, so far, is outside of any restriction. It is unclear if that practice will be allowed to continue under the new policy. The problem here lies with the super teams having the resources to hire an additional driver to test cars full-time. Hendrick, Roush Fenway, and Joe Gibbs Racing have all taken this route. Leaving teams like Red Bull and Bill Davis Racing left holding onto their limited funding just in running the cars on Sunday.
